Éadaí spóirt should only be worn on the days students
have sport during school or as an extra-curricular activity. If the
school track suit is not available for wearing on a given day, students
should wear the regular uniform with runners.
Gutháin Soghluaiste
As you know we began our 2 year drive to equip every class with an Interactive
Whiteboard this time last year, and with your very generous contributions
we now have 4 installed – 4 in classrooms and the fifth in our
Seomra Ceoil where the other classes share access to it. As we aim to
get the other 3 this year, we are looking for your support in collecting
used mobile phones to obtain the next one! You have collected 230 to
date, and well done for so doing. We need to get to 500, so if you have
collected some over the summer please send them in and if not can and
your children please get collecting. This scheme whereby Promethean
will give an IWB for every 500 phones donated to the Jack and Jill foundation
is a wonderful way for us to get our 6th board!
Go n-éirí libh!
Trácht
As you can see, huge progress has been made on reliving the traffic
congestion outside the school with the new roadway and parking system.
When it is fully completed it should be a much safer system for dropping
and collecting your children. However, to get the maximum benefit and
to be fair to all, it is vital that no-one ever parks outside the school
gate, across the road from the school gate, or in the side gateway to
the Revenue Offices. Please convey this to all those dropping or collecting
your children.
Rince
Cuirimid fáilte roimh Marie Uí Ógáin who
returns next week to re-commence Rince with all the children during
school. As usual Marie will work with the class teachers for the next
2 terms finishing up with our annual dance display on the day of the
Easter holidays. The price for the year per child remains @ €20
which we ask you to send in at your convenience.
Banna Ceoil
In preparation for our Céiliúradh 20 Bliain at which the
Banna Ceoil will be playing we will resume tomorrow with those from
last year. At the end of September then, we will hold little auditions
for any additional children from rang 2-6 who would like to join. Children
need to be able to play any 2 tunes without music.
.
Cótaí Glasa:
Tá roinnt cotaí glasa scoile againn fós. We have
a number of reversible green school jackets still available at €20.00
from the Oifig.
Cinn Míolta:
In an attempt to prevent head lice, we ask that all children with long
hair keep it tied back and that children do not have hair hanging over
their faces but wear a bandana, hair band or clips. Míle buíochas.
Lípéidí:
Ar mhiste libh deimhim a dhéanamh de go bhfuil ainm bhur bpáistí
ar gach rud atá acu. Please, please label all your children’s
belongings. Arís is arís eile, items with names on are
easily found and this avoids confusion and upset for the children
Airgead
Mar is gnáth, please send in any school money to your child’s
Múinteoir Ranga only, in a labelled envelope (with child’s
name, class and the activity being paid for on the envelope). A separate
payment per child is greatly appreciated.
Eolas Teagmhála
Déanaigí deimhin de go gcuireann sibh an fhoirm seo ar
ais go luath. Please ensure you send back the Eolas Teagmhála
by return so that we have your child’s up-to-date details. Míle
buíochas.
