Nuachtlitir 6 Mí Feabra 2008
A Thuismitheoirí, a Chairde,
Leis an earrach anseo anois, nach deas é a fheiceáil
go bhfuil na laethanta ag dul i bhfad fiú muna bhfuil morán
feabhais ar an aimsir! Is iad seo a leanas na rudaí gur mhaith
liom a chur in iúl daoibh don mhí seo.
Oscailt Oifiguíl agus Lóinseáil
an Suíomh Greasáin na Scoile
Ar an 7ú lá de mhí Márta, ar 12.30, beidh
an Oscailt Oifigúil don Halla Nua. On behalf of everyone here
at the Gaelscoil, we are delighted to invite you to the official opening
of our Halla Nua. If has been a very busy and exciting project and it
is fabulous now to celebrate its official opening. We also look forward
to launching our school website on the same day! So please join us in
our celebrations. Táimid ag súil libh a fheiceáil.
Brian ag Fágáill
Don bhliain go leith deireanach, bhí an t-ádh linn go
raibh Múinteoir Brian Ó Muiríosa ag múineadh
linn. Is múinteor den scoth é agus táimid go léir
fíor-bhuíoch don ionchur a bhí aige sa scoil seo
ar fad - leis na páistí agus linn féin mar fhoireann
na scoile. Mhúin sé na páistí go cumasach.
Roinn sé a bhuanna iontacha linn go léir agus d’fhág
sé a rian ar cheol na scoile seo a bheidh againn le fada an lá.
Beidh sé ar ais linn ar feadh cúpla lá anseo is
ansiúd fad agus a chuireann sé críoch lena staidéar
agus beidh fáilte roimhe go deo!
Maith thú agus míle buíochas, a Bhriain! Go maire
tú go céad!
Córas Smachta na Gaeilge
Go raibh maith agaibh do bhur tacaíocht don Ghaeilge tríd
an scoil. Unfortunately, we have had to issue ‘Cártaí
Bána’, but we have been really impressed with how the majority
of you have dealt with the issue at home, and we have noticed that many
children have made a total transformation! Leanaigí le seo le
bhur dtoil! We also ask again for more support for Gaeilge ag an geata:
leaving your children in the morning and meeting them in the afternoon
– Gaeilge ag teastáil le bhur dtoil. Maith sibh atá
ag déanamh an-iarracht – feicimid an difríocht,
with a huge improvement all around the school, the atmosphere has also
been greatly enhanced agus tá an-áthas orainn!
Food Dudes
Le cuid a 1 de Food Dudes thart, phases 2 hands over to you, a Thuismitheoirí.
As you have seen, your children have brought home little fruit and veg
boxes to be used each day. In order to ensure real success of this fabulous
initiative to which we, here at school have given great support and
assistance, we need your continued work and back-up in including these
super foods in your child’s lunch daily. As you know from your
information, fresh fruit juice, smoothies, soup etc. will also suffice.
It is now that the project succeeds or fails. Let’s make it a
success!
Féile an Aonaigh
Beidh na hullmhúcháin do na comórtais éagsúla
i bhFéile an Aonaigh ag tosnú go luath anois. As you know,
the children always take part in the competitions organised by Glór
na nGael during Féile an Aonaigh which takes place from the end
of February until Lá Fhéile Naomh Pádraig. They
are an excellent way for the children to develop their recitation skills,
as Gaeilge, building their self-confidence and pride. The teachers are
beginning preparations for the Féile Aithriseoireachta (recitation)
ó Naíonáin Shóisir go Rang 4 agus Agallamh
Beirte (Rang 5 & 6). Your children will be bringing home little
phrases, poems, and stories to practise. If you would like your child
to participate please return the piece at the end of this Nuacthtlitir
(one needed per child). The féilte will take place @ Dún
Mhuire. Children ó Rang Lúsaí agus Eibhlín
will go during school with their Múinteoirí. Parents will
need to bring children from Rang 1-6 after school. Your support in encouraging
your child to practise, perform and do little actions to these pieces
does so much good and adds to the enjoyment of the event. Go n-éirí
go geal le Féile an Aonaigh agus leis na páistí
ar fad! Ár n-ard-mholadh do Ghlór na nGael as an fhéile
a eagrú go bliantúil.
Féile Scoildrámaíochta
Mar chuid d’Fhéile an Aonaigh, beidh Rang a 5 ag glacadh
páirt san Fhéile Scoildrámaíochta a bheidh
ar siúl i gCloch Shiúrdáin ar an 28ú Feabhra.
Beidh siad ag léiriú a drama ‘Cúchulainn’
agus guímid gach rath ar mhúinteoir Máirín
agus a rang.
Cód Smáchta
Tá sé in am dúinn féachaint arís
ar ár gCód Smachta. If you have any recommendations or
changes you would like to see made to our Cód Smachta, please
put them in writing to me at your convenience
Páistí Nua
Má tá páiste eile agaibh gur mhaith libh a chur
chuig an Ghaelscoil do 2009, bígí cinnte go bhfuil foirm
rollaithe líonta suas agaibh cheana! Final call for any children
commencing school in 2009!
Seamróg
I mbliana beidh na páistí ag díol seamróg
úr daoibh chun airgead a dhéanamh do chóras fuaime
sa scoile. In order to promote the wearing of fresh shamrock on St.
Patricks Day, as well as a fundraiser to provide a sound system for
our Halla Nua, the children will be receiving a card with lines to sell
on it where the buyer will receive a fresh shamrock pin. Táimid
ag súil go mór le bhur tacaíocht, le bhur dtoil.
Páistí Déanacha
In the interest of your child’s safety, if he/she is coming to
school after 9.00 a.m. for any reason, please accompany him/her to the
school door to ensure he/she gains access, as the school doors are locked
at 9.00, also for safety
Spraoicheist an Chomhairle Chreidmheasa
Maith sibh a pháistí a ghlac páirt i Tráth
na gCeist an Chomhairle Chreidmheasa a bhí ar siúl le
déanaí. The interest shown by the children in the recent
Credit Union School Quiz gives us something really positive to build
on for next year! Comhghairdeachas do Aaron Ó Maolchaoin, Zoey
Nic Reachtain, Sorcha Ní Uallacháin agus Coleen Nic Chnáimhín
a bhí ar an bhfoireann sínsir agus Saoirse Ní Éalaín,
Aaron Ó Dúagáin, Christine Nic Amhlaoibh agus Tadhg
Ó Ceallaigh a bhí ar an bhfoireann sóisir.
Cótaí Glasa:
The red school jackets have been a great success and are available from
O’Connors on an on-going basis. However, we have a limited number
of the same jackets, in green, available through the school. If these
prove popular, we will extend the orders, so that they will be available
in red or in green from O’Connor’s for the coming year.
The jackets cost €20.00 each and can be bought from Kim ag an oifig
any day after school, Monday – Thursday.
Glantacháin an Earraigh
Leis an Earrach linn anois ar mhiste libh iarraidh ar bhur bpáistí
a málaí scoile a ghlanadh amach le bhur dtoil!
Athrú ar an bPáirc
Rang 3 -6: Could we ask that you would check that your child brings
a change of gear if he/she wants to play on the pitch at lunchtime!
Comórtas ‘Le Crunch’
Ghlac Rang 4 páirt i gcómortas ealaíne a bhí
eagraithe ag ‘le Crunch’ – comhlacht a dhíolann
úlla. Fuaireamar amach go bhfuil David Ó hEidhin sa 3
deireanach ina chatagóir sa tír! Because David is in the
final 3 in his category. his picture will be displayed in many Dunnes
Stores outlets across the country. Members of the public will then be
given an opportunity to vote for the best picture. We urge you all to
vote for David’s picture as soon as you see it in Dunnes, as it
really is excellent!
Míle buíochas ó Mhúinteoir Clár agus
Rang a 4.
Teilifís ag Teastáil
Taímid ag lorg teilifíse eile, má tá ceann
bhreis ag éinne, le bhur dtoil. Fuair ár sean-chean bás!
If you have a television that you are finished with, we would greatly
appreciate it!
Go raibh maith agaibh do bhur n-aird.
Is mise
le meas
