Gaelscoil Science Project Rises to the Top!

Majical Densities was the project which brought Rang a 4 and Múinteoir Lisa at Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan great success at the recent Discover Science Fair – the Primary Schools Young Scientist Exhibition. Having put great work and preparation into the project with experiments, research, a computer quiz, their own class-made lava lamps, and more, the pupils, parents and teachers departed Nenagh at 6.30a.m. The excitement was palpable, and on arrival at the RDS, this just grew higher as all the other Primary and Secondary schools scurried here and there to get their stands set up and ready to go! The children took turns in groups to be on the stand, demonstrating all elements of their project, to all those in attendance, and to the adjudicators. When not on duty, the children visited other stands, attended fabulous shows and exhibitions, and had all their senses stimulated to exploding point! When awarded the trophy for their project, the children were thrilled! Bhí lá iontach ag gach duine, agus d’fhill siad abhaile tuirseach traochta agus lán-sásta leo féin!
