The Sound of 9 O'Clock

Gaelscoil Featured on John Murray Show on RTE Radio 1

Last week the John Murray show ran a feature entitled 'The Sound of 9 O'Clock' where they invited listeners to record on their iphone whatever they were doing at 9am .

On Wednesday morning Rang 4 agus Rang 5 came together to sing our school anthem 'Gaelscoil Aonach Urmhumhan' which we recorded and submitted by email. We told the show that we intended to listen in on Friday morning, through our interactive whiteboards when they compiled the clips.

We were very excited when they emailed us back to thank us for the clip and that they were very happy with the quality. Then on Thursday morning the programme researchers contacted the school to inform us that they were airing our clip that day.

There was great excitement throughout the school as all classes tuned into the program through the Internet link on our interactive whiteboards agus bhí bród an domhain orainn go léir ag éisteacht leis.
